Standards for Construction in Humanitarian Settings
We are pleased to announce the release of the 2021 version of the Construction Good Practice Standards (CGPS) for free download. The CGPS is available in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
The CGPS is a standard that is applicable to any construction project, based on best practices. Engineering and construction are complicated and there are infinite variations for each construction project. The CGPS is NOT an attempt at a guidebook to navigate projects, rather it is a set of standards that when followed will improve the outcomes of the project.

Why do we need the CGPS?
Donors and implementers alike – how the CGPS can help improve humanitarian construction projects.
