About the CGPS

Originally an internal set of construction guidelines for Save the Children develop by Michele Young, the guidelines were edited and revised to become international standards for all construction projects in humanitarian settings. The original CGPS was produced in 2017, and has been edited and peered reviewed numerous times since then, to become the current evolution of the standard.


Editors

The original 2017 editors were Dominic Courage, Shane Copp, Brenda Rose and Chiara Jasna Vaccaro. The 2021 editors are Elizabeth Palmer, Chiara Jasna Vaccaro and Shane Copp.

Peer Review

Every version of the CGPS is peer reviewed by a volunteer group of people within the humanitarian community who have experience and/or expertise in construction.
